Our Story
We're Katie and Ashley - best friends and long-time coworkers who decided to take an epic leap into entrepreneurship together. At the start of our Hope-Wellness journey, we were both single moms uninspired by our hospitality jobs, searching for a way to make a difference in our industry while supporting local businesses and artisans.
We felt most at home exploring the beaches and forests of Albert County and dreamed of sharing that feeling with visitors from around the world - in a way that inspired people to become environmental stewards of the natural beauty around them. When the opportunity to own a piece of land came our way, we signed our lives away to the bank and decided to learn as we went. Our resort is a testament to friendship, the strength and ingenuity of Albert County, and a lifelong commitment to live, gather, and recreate sustainably.
Founded on the belief that wellness should be joyful, communal, and accessible, Hope-Wellness reimagines what a spa retreat can be. You won't find strict silence policies or stuffy formality here - we encourage conversation, laughter, and genuine connection, because social wellness matters just as much as physical wellness.

Meet Our Resort Kitties
At Hope-Wellness, our playful resident cats add to the cozy, relaxed atmosphere our guests love. They roam freely, offering friendly greetings and a touch of charm to your stay. If you're an animal lover, you'll feel right at home! If you'd prefer a pet-free environment, our resort may not be the best fit, since our cats are a beloved part of the experience.
Where We're Located
Hope-Wellness Eco-Resort is nestled in the heart of Albert County, New Brunswick - one of Atlantic Canada's most scenic regions - near two of the province's most iconic natural attractions: Hopewell Rocks and Fundy National Park.
Our location offers the perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility. You'll feel worlds away from the everyday hustle, surrounded by forests, trails, and the dramatic landscape of the Bay of Fundy - yet just a short drive from charming local towns, artisan shops, and incredible dining. The Bay of Fundy is home to the world's highest tides, creating a constantly changing landscape that's both humbling and awe-inspiring, whether you're exploring the flowerpot rocks at low tide or simply soaking in the view from your hot tub.
We're approximately 30 minutes from Moncton, 2 hours from Saint John, 2 hours 15 minutes from Fredericton, 3 hours from Halifax, and 2 hours 15 minutes from Charlottetown - an easy getaway from every major Maritime city.
What Is an Eco Resort?
The term "eco-resort" isn't formally regulated, but for us it means one thing: we make every decision with the environment and our community in mind first. That means supporting local businesses whenever possible, and inviting our guests to experience a more sustainable way of living that's genuinely enjoyable and connected to the wild - not a sacrifice.
From solar power and on-site wells to hybrid wood-fired hot tubs and a zero single-use-plastic policy, sustainability is woven into every corner of Hope-Wellness - construction, daily operations, and the guest experience alike. We also contribute 1% of every purchase toward initiatives that remove CO₂ from the atmosphere, through Stripe Climate.
